Construction of Multipurpose Sports Field at Bhanodaya School, Nepal in Partnership with Collaborative Schools Network and Rotary Club of Yala - June 2018.

School History:

This public elementary school started out with 20 kids in a small dilapidated structure for the children in the village of Thasi with a low socio-economic background. On initiation of Patan Rotary, a nicer school building was built but was unable to attract any students more than 20 kids. There has been some initiation from wives of Patan Rotarians with programs such as free uniforms, free lunch programs in anticipation to encourage more kids to come join the school. In recent days, the enrollment increased to more than 200 students and is being expanded to grade 8.

Project History:

This program is initiated with sole purpose to provide access to sports to all kids in underprivileged neighborhood. Sports can assist in motivating a child towards many productive ways; it provides an opportunity to get active and help build self- confidence and boost self- esteem. It encourages them to develop life skills and leadership skills as well. They will learn the value of team work and discipline as well.

The concept of this project started on July 2017 on Aaron’s Nepal visit. Under umbrella of Rotary Club of Yala, Aaron and Prajay donated some sports items to the school and the items was solely identified by the school itself. The school had requested outdoor and indoor sports items  that can be played during rainy days which included chess, board games, hoola hoops, puzzles etc and outdoor sports items such as soccer ball, volley ball, freezbee etc. These items have come very handy to the children; children are enjoying a lot. 

• In 2018, the school requested for an outdoor multipurpose sports field on the backyard land they have. Aaron raised funds through a “Fundraising Birthday”. In lieu of birthday gifts, cash contribution was requested ALL of which was donated towards construction of multipurpose grounds in the school. Aaron collected $1,000 for this project out of which Aaron gave Rs. One Lakhs for the Multi purpose ground and also donated Football Balls, Football boots and 30 pairs goldstar sports shoes. With some matching fund from Rotary Club of Yala, the field was constructed. Continuous maintenance will be supported. Aaron is very motivated with the immediate construction of the field and commitment of the school staff to get the project accomplished.

Distribution of jerseys and cleats for Dhading Academy, Dhading, Nepal

December 2021

Distribution of brand new jersey sets, socks, brand new balls to Jana Uddhar School, Lalit Kalyan Kendra.

March 2021

Distribution of slightly used team jersey, soccer cleat, and socks (about 50 pairs) to Bhanodaya Basic School, Balkumari Basic School, and Bal Ashram in Nepal. 

June 2019 

Distribution of slightly used team jersey, soccer cleats,  socks (about 30 pairs), and bags to Bhanodaya School in Nepal. 

 2018,  2019- Distribution of 100 pairs of Goldstar sports shoes to Bhanodaya School, Nepal. 

Janaury 5, 6, 7 2022 - Lalit Kalyan Kendra

Three Day All4Ball-Lalit Kalyan Cup 1st Sports Olympics was concluded for Lalit Kalyan Kendra. Total of 15 sports activities were included. Community outreach and Local ground cleanup was in hand in hand with the Olympics activities.

Janaury 4, 5, 6 2022 - Shress Bhanodaya Basic School

Three Day All4Ball-Bhandoya Cup was concluded for Bhanodaya Basic School. Total of 17 sports activities were included. 

December 17, 2021- Jana Uddhar School

A half day Sports Clinic and Teachers Team Building was held at  Jana Uddhar Shool in Nepal on October 4, 2021.

Coaches Prajwol Chettri and from Junior Football Academy volunteerd to coach the kids.

October 4, 2021 - Lalit Kalyan Kendra

A half day Sports Clinic and Teachers Team Building was held at  Lalit Kalyan Kendra Basic Shool in Nepal on October 4, 2021.

Coaches Kiran Khanal and Dipendra Khatri from Junior Football Academy- Nepal coached the kids. 

April 3, 2021 - Shree Balkumari Basic School

Half- Day Sports Clinic was conducted for Balkumari Basic Shcool. Basic football skills and agility training was conducted by former footbal national players Coach Nabin Neupane and Coach Rajesh Shahi.

Basic skills of basketball was conducted by local ambassadors Nirbhaya Pradhan and Aaron Basnyet.

March 27, 2021 - Shree Bhanodaya Basic School Half- Day Sports Clinic was conducted for Bhanodaya Basic Shcool. Basic football skills and agility training was conducted by former footbal national players Coach Nabin Neupane and Coach Rajesh Shahi. Local ambassadors Nirvaya Pradhan, Adhesh Gurung and Aaron Basnyet assisted the coaches.

Established new Sports Libraries and contributed sports items such as Soccer Balls, Volleyballs and nets, Table Tennis sets, Cricket sets, Table Tennis Boards and bats, Badminton sets, Karate apparels, Indoor table games such as chess and checkers, football cleats  for the following schools and centers.

- Provided for 1 monthlong  Free Traning at Legend Futsal for 2 public Schools. Shree Sidhi Mangal school and Shree Bhanodaya Basic School at Siddhipur. These schools are the  1st and 3rd place winners of First Legend Futsal Tournament.

- Providing 1 month free training for winning Team (Mahalaxmi Municipality) Lions Tournament., February 2023.
